Mentorship

In one’s career, there are challenges and setbacks that one may struggle and lose faith. That is when a mentor is needed. Mentorship is similar to parenting; there is no one single formula. It is a deeply personal, trusting relationship between 2 professionals in which the more conscious, experienced one sees unique potential in the younger one, creates experiences between them to help the younger one develop knowledge, skills and qualities to fulfill that potential and become vested in transforming the mentee.

STORY CORNER

Many would know Mahatma Gandhi as the Nobel Peace Prize winner, but few would know him serving as a great mentor. Under Gandhi’s mentorship, Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela flourished, and made huge impacts that inspired millions of people.

"Search for role models who you can look up to. You don't have to have mentors who look like you. Had I been waiting for a black, female Soviet specialist mentor, I would still be waiting."
Condoleeza Rice

SECRETARY OF STATE United States of America

"My job is not to be easy on people. My job is to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better."
