Tan Sri Hassan is the Chairman of Singapore Power, the Chairman of Pavilion Energy, and the retired President and CEO of Petronas, the national oil company of Malaysia and the largest company in Southeast Asia by market capitalization.
Under Tan Sri Hassan’s leadership from 1995-2010, Petronas transformed from a natural gas exporter into one of the very few sophisticated state-owned oil and gas companies with a broad international presence.
He currently serves as a director of Sembcorp Marine, Regional Economic Development Authority of Sarawak, Sarawak Energy, Lambert Energy Advisory, MH Marican Advisory, Singapore Power and ConocoPhillips. He is also a Senior International Advisor of Temasek International Advisors, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings.
Tan Sri Hassan holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Malaya and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Past directorships in listed companies and major appointments 2009-2011:
